Gymnastics

Last week Phil found an awesome deal on Groupon to sign the girls up for a month of gymnastics.  They. were. so. excited.  With little more to go on than, "there would be bouncing," they couldn't wait to get out the door that morning.  When we finally arrived and muddled through the obligatory paperwork and tour of the facilities, the girls were split into two classes: the toddlers and the three year old class. The toddler class required parent participation, but the three-year-olds were on there own.  And yes, we were the crazy parents photographing every somersault and hot dog roll.

I think we both expected Myla to love it because she is our crazy bouncing girl, born with an easy coordination and strength.  I can't say what exactly we thought Quinn would do.  We certainly didn't expect her to lead her little group of gymnasts through their paces, but that's exactly what she did.  After waiting 12 months to crawl and sixteen months to walk, she was jumping and tumbling with the best of them!  I was one proud mama.  She certainly has her own way of doing things.  When class was over and we were driving home, Myla said she would rather have every day be Monday so we could always go to gymnastics!

Anxiously waiting...
Warm up and stretching
First bar routine.
Movin' on up.
Whoo hoo!
Three-year-old version of a hand stand.
Fearless!
Time to shine!
Just hum to yourself the theme song from Chariots of Fire while looking at this picture...
